The beauty of our diverse profession is that we all come from different backgrounds, trainings, and understandings - this is also the challenge we face when trying to have constructive dialogue with one another to improve the service we provide consumers. Oftentimes the barrier to effective work in teams is the lack of common terminology and schemas. In this two-day workshop, you will not only gain common vocabulary & schemas, but also practice dialoguing with interpreters who may or may not be just like you (via DC-S based supervision), and practice constructing professional development plans for yourself (and others). Prepare to be a meaningful contributor to the interpreting community in your local area as well as beyond with the use of technology for remote collaboration.
